The questions people actually ask

Seventeen answers across membership, access, clinical care and privacy. Anything not covered here, the membership team answers by phone.

Membership

5 questions

Ask us directly

No. Membership is a service fee covering access to and primary care at Aurelia. It does not pay for hospital admission, surgery, specialist care, imaging or prescriptions. Almost every member keeps a health plan alongside it, and we recommend that.

Sample pricing starts at $295 per month for Essential, $545 for Signature and $1,480 for a Family Office household, billed annually, plus a one-time enrolment fee. Everything on this demonstration website is sample pricing.

Many members do use HSA or FSA funds for membership, but eligibility depends on your plan administrator and current IRS guidance. Confirm with your administrator before you rely on it.

Membership is an annual agreement with a 30-day cancellation term. We transfer your complete record to your next physician at no charge, and we do not charge an exit fee.

No. Each physician's panel is capped, so we open places as they become available. When a panel is full we hold a waiting list and tell you honestly how long it is likely to be.

Appointments and access

4 questions

Members are offered a same-day or next-day appointment for acute concerns during clinic hours, and same-day video visits across California. Routine and annual visits are usually booked a few weeks ahead.

A physician from the practice, on rotation. Not an answering service and not a third-party nurse line. Median response in our sample data is eleven minutes.

Signature and Family Office members receive home visits within Beverly Hills and West Hollywood when a physician judges them clinically appropriate. They are not a substitute for emergency care.

Your physician coordinates the admission, speaks with the hospital team, follows your stay and sees you after discharge. In an emergency, call 911 first and tell us afterwards.

Clinical care

4 questions

Both. Hypertension, type 2 diabetes, lipid disorders, thyroid disease, asthma, mental health and the interactions between them are core primary care work and are managed here.

For primary care, yes. You will still need specialists for procedures, subspecialty disease and surgery, and we coordinate those rather than attempt them.

Family Office membership includes dependants from age 16. Below that we recommend a paediatric practice and are glad to refer you to one.

Your physician reviews every result before it is released, then it appears in the portal with a plain-language note. See the turnaround table on the patient information page for timing by test.

Privacy and records

4 questions

We operate under HIPAA. Records are held in an encrypted electronic health record with access logging, and we disclose information only with your authorisation or where the law requires it. The full notice is in our privacy policy.

Yes. Request it through the portal or in writing and we provide it in an electronic format within 30 days, usually within a week, at no charge.

No, including for executive physicals arranged by an employer. The employer is told only that the physical took place, unless you specifically authorise more in writing.

It uses encrypted transport and requires multi-factor authentication. Please do not send clinical information by ordinary email; use the portal or the member line.

Emergency guidance

None of these answers is medical advice, and this page is not for emergencies. For chest pain, sudden breathlessness, face or arm weakness, slurred speech, the worst headache of your life, heavy bleeding, confusion or thoughts of self-harm, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For self-harm you can also call or text 988. Members with an urgent but non-emergency question should call (310) 555-0177.

General information only, not medical advice. Screening intervals, vaccine timing and preparation steps vary by personal and family history. Talk with your physician about what applies to you.
